When Everyone Needs You, Who Takes Care of You?

You love your children, and you would do anything for them.
Somewhere between the feedings, schedules, appointments, responsibilities, and endless demands of motherhood, you may have stopped feeling like yourself.
Maybe you're exhausted no matter how much sleep you get, or maybe you're overwhelmed by things that never used to feel overwhelming.
Maybe your energy, mood, focus, motivation, or overall well-being feel different than they once did.
One thing you know for sure is at times, it feels like you can't quite explain it, but something feels off.
You're not alone.
The Schaefer Protocol® takes a different approach.Rather than asking how to push through, we ask what your body may be trying to communicate.
Motherhood requires an extraordinary amount from the body, the nervous system, and the mind, and recovery doesn't happen simply because time has passed.
Most women are surprised to learn the peak of postpartum depletion is 4 years postpartum!

The Schaefer Protocol® focuses on understanding how the body is adapting to the demands it's
experiencing.
Rather than chasing symptoms or asking you to do more, we explore the factors that influence:
● Nervous system regulation
● Stress adaptation
● Recovery and restoration
● Energy and resilience
● Daily rhythms and physiological stability
The goal isn't perfection.
The goal is creating the conditions that allow your body to feel supported again.

Much of the attention after birth is focused on the baby, and I think it’s a disservice to the
mother. Understandably, baby needs care and protection, but many mothers carry the physical,
emotional, and physiological demands of motherhood long after the postpartum period is
considered "over."
The expectations are often clear:
Be grateful.
Keep going.
Push through.
Take care of everyone else.
Far too many women find themselves feeling depleted, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unlike
the person they were before.
Postpartum is forever, and it doesn’t have to be an experience you navigate alone - you’re carrying more than anyone realizes, and deserve to have your cup filled so you can enjoy being
a mother.

When I first discovered the Schaefer Protocol, what resonated most with me was its focus on
understanding how the body adapts rather than simply managing symptoms.
In my practice, I work with mothers who often feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure of what step to take next. I was drawn to this framework because it provides a structured approach that helps people understand the bigger picture of their health while creating meaningful, sustainable change.
As a Certified Schaefer Protocol Practitioner,
I guide couples through this process while tailoring support to their unique circumstances and goals.
